Obituary for Jackie Wayne Robinson

Jackie Wayne Robinson, 67, of Point Oak, TX formerly of Waco, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 12 at 10:00 am at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating.


Jackie was born July 26, 1954 in Fairfield, Texas to J.W. and Effie Robinson. He attended Fairfield High school and continued his education at Navarro College and graduated with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He retired from the City of Waco where he then went to have another long career with N-Line Traffic Maintenance, currently known as AWP.


He married Debbie Robinson of Waco, and they were happily married for 39 years. Together they made annual trips to San Antonio and numerous trips to the beach. Jackie loved to cook, play cards, watch old westerns, and travel with his family. He enjoyed coaching baseball, Scout activities, and attended gymnastics competitions with his kids. Jackie never seemed to meet a stranger, and was always spreading love and joy with his infectious smile and laughter.


After the loss of his beloved wife in 2015, he was blessed to find someone else to share his life with. He married Odila Panozzo in 2016. Together they blessed and were blessed by both families.


Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife Debbie.


He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Odila Panozzo; children, Jason Robinson, Gene Robinson and wife Michelle, and Katie Mullins; grandchildren, Jake Robinson, Jackson and Harper Robinson, and Evan Mullins; brother, Mackie Robinson and wife Kathy; and sister, Renee Hogan and husband Lance; Xalise Panozzo, Princia Checan, Eddie Panozzo, and their beautiful families.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Central Texas.
