Obituary for Homer Sue Taylor

Homer Sue Adams Taylor, 88, of Waco, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, November 18th, 2022.

Born in Thornton, Texas to Homer and Kelma Adams on February 10th,1934. She was the last daughter of four girls, she was lucky enough to receive her father’s first name Homer, but she was known by family and friends as “Sue”.

Homer Sue Adams Taylor was indeed a warm, loving, bright light in our world. Her incredible grace and gentle strength created a sanctuary for her family. She was a true beauty both inside and out.

Sue was proceeded in death by her husbands, Capt. Sam P. Colquitt and Thomas R. Taylor, (TR), and her parents; She rejoins her three beloved sisters, Jean McNutt, Louise Tadlock and Jo Curtis. Her grandson, Samuel Colquitt and daughter-n-law Mari Howlett.

Sue leaves behind, to cherish her memory; son Chris Colquitt of Dallas, Daughters, Sammie Hyden and Tracy Viladevall of Waco, Son-in-laws, Kirby Hyden and Chuck Viladevall, and her beloved Grandchildren, Carley Groseclose, Taylor Wilkins, Madison Viladevall ,Maxwell Viladevall, Izumi Colquitt, Wesley Colquitt , Colby Colquitt and Great Granddaughter, Ethel Groseclose, Grandson-in-laws Joe Wilkins, Dallas Groseclose, Granddaughter-In Law Micah LaPointe
Also those who will fondly remember her are loved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will begin with a visitation on Saturday, November 26th at 12:30 pm Oakcrest Funeral Home chapel located at 4520 Bosque Blvd, Waco, followed by a Celebration of life at 1:30 in Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel
