Obituary for Carlos Pesina Sr.

Carlos Pesina Sr., age 92, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mart Cemetery.

Carlos was born on November 4, 1926 in Coolidge, Texas to Antonio Pesina and Consuelo Belmares. He served his country in World War II. Carlos Pesina was a dedicated family man and an honest and hardworking individual. He served in World War II and was stationed in the Phillipines.

He worked as a truck driver for West Flour Mill and Jupe Mills for 45 years. He enjoyed driving his 18 wheeler and would make the best of his time at home with his family. He always extended a helping hand and was a true man of his word. He loved Westerns and enjoyed his black coffee and being served by his favorite waiter Rudy at El Charro Cafe. Carlos will be dearly missed by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anastasia Pesina and son, Carlos Pesina Jr.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert and Henry Pesina and their spouses, Caroline Meyer and Ida Pesina; daughter in law, Mary Lou Pesina, wife of the late Carlos Pesina Jr., and late daughter in law, Terry

Pesina; grandchildren, Sonja, Juanita, Marie, Alicia, and Santana; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Lupe Miramontes, Mary Alice Martinez and Jesse Pesina; as well as num erous nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Martinez, John Martinez,
Joe Lopez, Santos Suarez,
Mark Trevino and Steven Vega.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, prayers, concerns and kindness given to us during this hour of bereavement.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Texas Home Health and Hospice for their compassion and dedication during Carlos's time of need.
