Obituary

Abraham Cordova, 70, of Waco, joined our loving Father on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Abraham was born May 16, 1950, in Rio Grande Zacatecas, Mexico to Margarito Cordova and Santos Castañeda. He married the love of his life Mirtala Pérez Cordova on October 27, 1979.

He is survived by his two sons, Abraham and David Cordova; two daughters, Veronica Vazquez Cordova, and Yazmin Rizo Cordova; grandchildren, Ariadny Vazquez, Clarissa Cordova, Aydé Quintana, Mauricio Jr., Rizo; and five siblings. Abraham’s brother Isaias Cordova recently preceded his death.

Abraham Cordova was a long-time resident of Monterrey, Mexico before he moved to the United States in March of 1989. Abraham enjoyed volunteering and attending services at his local church, Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana Espiritual, spending time with his family, coaching, boxing in his spare time, and managing his family-owned business for over 27 years, Cordova’s Auto Sales.

Abraham served God the entirety of his life and was a man of strong faith. He was a caring and loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 4 - 7 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm January 13, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery, with Pastor Juan Ramon Sarinana officiating. The funeral procession will depart OakCrest Funeral Home at 12:45 pm to Oakwood Cemetery.

Abraham C. Cordova, 70, de Waco, se unió a nuestro amado Padre el miércoles 6 de enero de 2021. Abraham Cordova nació el 16 de mayo de 1950 en Rio Grande, Zacatecas, México, hijo de Margarito Cordova y Santos Castaneda. Se casó con el amor de su vida Mirtala Pérez Córdova el 27 de octubre de 10979.

Además, sobreviven su esposa, sus hijos, Abraham y David Cordova; dos hijas, Verónica Vasquez Cordova y Yazmin Rizo Cordova; nietos, Ariadny Vasquez, Clarissa Cordova, Ayde Quintana, Mauricio Jr. Rizo y cinco hermanos. Precedido en la muerte por sus padres y su hermano Isaías Córdova.

Abraham Cordova residió durante mucho tiempo en Monterrey, México, se mudó a los Estados Unidos en marzo de 1989. Abraham Cordova disfrutó de ser voluntario y asistir a los servicios en su iglesia local, Iglesia Evangelistica Christiana Espiritual, pasando tiempo con su familia, entrenando y boxeando. en su tiempo libre y administrando su negocio familiar durante más de 27 años, Cordova Auto Sales.

Abraham Córdova sirvió a Dios toda su vida y fue un hombre de fe firme. Fue un esposo, padre, hijo, abuelo, hermano, tío, primo y amigo afectuoso y cariñoso de muchos.

La visita se llevará a cabo el martes 12 de enero de 2021, de 4 pm a 7 pm en OakCrest Funeral Home. Los servicios junto a la tumba serán a la 1:30 pm el 13 de enero de 2021 en el cementerio Oakwood, con el pastor Juan Ramon Sarinana, oficiando. La procesión fúnebre partirá de OakCrest Funeral Home a las 12:45 pm hacia el cementerio de Oakwood.
